A herbal garden consists of plants known for their healing and medicinal values. They include hundreds of plants from herb, shrub, trees, climber or creeper.
The medicinal and aromatic plants of the Himalayan Mountains are an invaluable biological resource, loosely associated with health care, cuisine, traditions and culture.
The herbal garden was started as a school initiative to help students and teachers to learn and recognize the importance of the herbal plants that are the part of our everyday lives. At the same time we aimed to raise awareness about need for conservation and sustainable use of herbal plants instead of the excessive use of allopathic medicine.
